Staying at the Cardozo South Beach (Plus, Hotel Discount)
Suprisingly, I have never been to Miami before! I've driven through it once to travel down to the Keys, but we never stopped. I love visiting new cities especially when they are in my home state! When I returned home, I had a few people ask me how Miami was - and all I could say was I loved it, but it's a different world down there! Miami is a VIBE and I'm here for it!
We stayed at the Cardozo South Beach Hotel which was situated right on 13th Street and Ocean Drive across from the beach. It was literally the perfect location if you are planning on walking around. The hotel itself was absolutely stunning! As you can see above, everything in the room was white and crisp making the room look bigger and clean! We were on the second floor and you could see the beach from our room! I loved it! Around the hotel was filled with luscious green plants and gorgeous outdoor furniture for lounging! The hotel actually just re-opened from a 4 year - 15 million $ renovation! While we were there, they did the official ribbon-cutting and I was able to see who the owners, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, were in person. It was such a cool experience!
On the first floor of the hotel was a restaurant called BiCe and we ate there on night one and it was so good! We had the pizza and it was definitely one of the top 3 pizzas I've ever had. So doughy and perfect with just enough cheese! You guys know how big of a pizza snob I am.. haha!
The second day was so relaxing! My girlfriend and I got up and went to breakfast at Dreamers Juice - so good! We went back to the hotel and changed into our bikinis and headed to the beach! It was the perfect day to lay on the beach! You can rent chairs and umbrellas at the beach from the hotel too. That is the way to go!
That evening, we had the opportunity to dine at Larios on the Beach which is the same owners as the Cardozo Hotel! The food was fabulous! Best meal by far! I had the Tuna Tartar plus a Coconut Mojito and it was literally amazing! If you are in the area, definitely try it out - you will not be disappointed!
