lane and i just returned from a lovely, lazy weekend at costa d'este resort and spa in vero beach, florida. we had never been to this adorable little town prior to our weekend visit. we loved it!

we arrived on friday evening, unfortunately it's florida and it had been raining off and on the entire day, but we had already planned to just chill in the room and watch a movie since we both had worked all day. when we first arrived at the resort, we were greeted with a glass of bubbly while getting all the details to our room! walking into a hotel room for the first time is such an exciting feeling, finally getting to see what the room looks like and your view of the ocean.

they set us up with a delicious fruit/cheese platter with a bottle of red wine which was delicious! i literally could eat cheese and crackers all day long.... LOL. so much for relaxing because we ended up heading down to the restaurant on the first floor called the wave because we were getting antsy about not exploring the place before getting settled. we grabbed a drink and met chad, the bartender. he was amazing!!! we grabbed some apps and headed back up to the room!

our morning view while eating breakfast! we watched the clouds move and the sun come out and it was such a beautiful day on saturday! we enjoyed the pool, had a few drinks + chips/guac (my favorite pool snack!) and read a book! it was paradise - i don't know the last time lane and i just chilled out for a few hours with nothing on the books. seriously magical! <3

we had a whiskey tasting and dinner reservations on saturday night and the food at the wave was SO good. we had divers scallops, pork tenderloin, braised beef, filet, potatoes, and of course champagne and dessert. all of our small plates were paired with whistle pig whiskey (for lane) and red/white wine (for me). i was stuffed by the time our main entree came. once dinner was finished, we moved to the bar so we could hang out with chad again. i'm telling you, he's great!

sunday, our last day, was heavenly! i enjoyed a 50 minute massage from the spa at costa d'este and it was the best massage i have ever had. i'm not just saying that because i am sharing the details of our stay - i'm saying that because my massage was literally the best. i walked out feeling like a new woman. my masseuse was a tiny little woman, shorter than me, but she had manly hands and it was amazing! LOL

we ended the stay with a delicious brunch and then packed up our things to head home. our stay was amazing and i would definitely stay there again on our next trip to vero! if you like small, quaint little beach towns with resorts that are very accommodating and friendly, you will definitely love this place!

xx
