Make-Up Dos & Don'ts
With the help of my lovely friend, Tanner. (You may remember her from my blog post, Talented Tanner.) We have came up with a few Dos & Don'ts when applying make-up. These little tips and tricks go a long way, so I hope you find them helpful. Feedback is always fabulous as well!
Makeup {Dos}
- Moisturize and {PRIME} your face before applying
- Highlight your brow bone and inner corner of your eye to make them POP!
- Match your foundation with your neck {not your face}
- Clean your brushes once a week ~ A MUST!
- As Jaclyn Hill says: Blend, Blend, & {Blend} your eyeshadow
- Rim your top waterline with black eyeliner to create a fuller lash look
- Rim your bottom waterline with nude eyeliner to create a wider eye look
- Use natural lighting when applying
- Always use a setting spray to hold all day
- Conceal under eyes {blending up to the temple}
- Wash Your Face Every Night <-- { Very Important }
Makeup {Don’ts}
- Don’t use a concealer that is too light or too dark
- Don’t forget about your lips {make sure they accent your eye makeup}
- Don’t forget about your eyebrows
- Don’t use too much shimmer {for every day attire anyways}
- Don’t {ever} apply creams after powders—that is what creates a “cake face” look. {CREAMS BEFORE POWDERS}
- Don’t over line the entire lips {JUST the cupids bow for a plumping effect}
- Don’t apply blush below the apples of the cheeks
- Don’t use chalking eyeshadows {Blending becomes impossible}
- Don't apply mascara over dried mascara
